Java Software Engineers
You will be developing web-enabled Java applications and have at least 2 years experience in the following areas:
- Java 2 Enterprise Edition (EJB, JSP, Servlets)
- Working knowledge of HTML, Javascript and XML
- Experience with Oracle relational database or similar
- Understanding of Object-oriented design patterns
- Conceptual knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning
- Strong in mathematics, finance or accounting
- Familiarity with Linux / UNIX development environment
- Open-source software such as Apache, JBoss and Tomcat
- Experience with the CVS Source code control system
We are seeking candidates with allround practical skills in programming, design and architecture. You will regard yourself as a leader in your field and are known within your peers as an 'expert', 'guru' or a 'maven'.
Your duties will include design, analysis, implementation and testing. Our software development teams are using the Agile development methodology, making programming fun and working on short development lifecycles.
We are developing n-tier web-based middleware applications using the MVC (Model, View, Controller) pattern. Our application front-end is implemented using JSP, the middle-tier is EJB, and the backend JDBC and Oracle. You will be skilled in working in all these areas.
Our projects range from the Education industry to the Medical Industry and require skills to create applications to automate and integrate business processes. You will be working in-house with our client located in central Singapore.
Linux skills are a special advantage, providing the successful candidate with a job containing a rewarding mix of Java development and linux platform integration.
