Metaboot ZAC client
Advanced network booting system developed for Linux
Disked (as against diskless) network booting using the disk as a cache to provide better network efficiency than traditional network booting
- Traditional network booting is bandwidth intensive and a single server can handle maybe 200 - 300 machines
- Potential to handle 1000 client machines from a single boot server
Developed by Metaparadigm and currently being beta-tested at Overseas Family School in the Middle School Linux Lab
